I want this!

Your Sun sign is your soul. The position the Sun was in relative to the earth at the time you were born, your sun sign represents who you are at your core. Symbolically, the Sun represents life, vitality, force, and action, and as it is at the center of the universe, so it is at the center of your personality.

While no one sign is better than the other, your sun sign makes up a larger piece of the pie and is the basis of who we are, who we feel we are and who we aspire to be.

Unlike the Ascendant, the Sun sign refers to the deepest part of us, which is more genuine but less accessible because it is mostly meant for those who know us best or those who we have an intimate relationship with.

Solid, steadfast, persevering characterizes this sign. Taurus, or the Bull, is the sign of spring, abundance and material worth, and is ruled by Venus, the planet that bestows beauty, grace, and social ability.

A Taurus’ life goal is to strive for purity in their honesty, however challenging–and it starts with themselves. Being honest and truthful to yourself and what they want, need and desire, Taurus, is the key to success as you go through your own personal revolution.

The Taurus Sun Personality

Helpful and dependable, the Taurus native lives their lives in the material, tangible world.

They can touch, feel, and sense, which is the most important, and they know themselves and those around them through what they can “provide.” As part of this more “material” or sensing world, sensuality is a vital component of this sign. This means being able to indulge in the comforts of life – good food, good company, a beautiful painting, a lovely new dress – these moments that may be lost on many other signs are coveted and sought out by Taurus Suns.

The idea of “Treat yo’ self!” was coined by Taurus, and indeed, they are the best at giving themselves the love they require, even if it means lounging around the house and being lazy once-in-a-while.

Beyond self-indulgence, Taurus has gained the name “banker” colloquially – known as a sign that is so focused on work and building resources… indeed probably a necessity when you are someone who enjoys the finer things in life.

One must be able to pay for all the luxury! Here is where the concept of possessions or possessiveness comes into play. The need to have safety and security is only bolstered by the Taurean need for material wealth or goods – they play hand-in-hand with one another.

Do not confuse possessive with jealous or petty here – Taurus, unlike their sister sign, Scorpio, is not about jealousy or control; it’s about safety, security, and possessions help create that illusion. In fact, that is precisely what it is, an illusion of materials creating security and safety… an illusion that the Taurus person is tasked with working on through their entire life.

Getting To Work

When these people work, they go all in. The most persevering sign of the zodiac, they are steadfast and committed when they believe. Their rise to the top may not be instant – but a slow build-up over time that pays off. They are the sign that is best at the work-hard, play-hard concept, taking time off and relaxing when they need, but pushing and driving ahead when there is something to complete.

Taurus suns can have the reputation of moving slowly and taking their time. Still, they seek out situations where they are stable, comfortable and safe, whatever their definition or understanding of that may be.

As a fixed sign, Taurus is an immovable object on things when they put their mind to it. The Taurean commitment to work or a passion is translated directly to ideas and thoughts – once they have made their mind up about something, it’s tough to get them to change.

This aspect of their personality lends itself to the renowned Taurean stubbornness – a double-edged sword for them and those in their lives.
