Tomorrow, January 5th, the messenger planet Mercury will conjunct with Pluto in Capricorn. This will inspire powerful, assertive and ambitious ways of thinking and communicating.
Problem-solving and decision making will be high. Thanks to Pluto’s deep-diving influence, you will have an easier time solving mysteries or technical challenges that you come across.
January 6th, 2021
On Wednesday, January 6th, we’re in for a significant change. After six months in brash Aries, Mars makes its move over to steadfast Taurus. Why was Mars in Aries for so long? Due to a prolonged period of retrograde in the fall, we had an extra-long, double dose of fiery Arian energy lighting up our lives.
As Mars moves into Taurus, things will slow down a notch. We’ll be more practical and deliberate with our work. Energy may wax and wane, but keep at it, and you’ll achieve great success.
As an added bonus, with Mars in Taurus, we’ll tend towards the better organization and managing finances (as Taurus rules the Second House of Materials and Wealth). There is a renewed energy here towards work and duty, and as long as it’s making you money, you’ll be interested in it. Kind of the perfect energy for the beginning of 2021, huh?

January 8th, 2021
On Thursday, January 8th, we begin our movement into the Age of Aquarius! This is the first sign to move into Aquarius. By February, we’ll have SEVEN planets (and one asteroid, Pallas) in the sign of the water bearer. Learn more in my post here.
Mercury in Aquarius is full of innovative, eccentric and out-of-the-box thinking. Capitalize on this by reading new, inspiring ideas, writing down any thoughts that come your way and just spending time thinking. This is mighty fine energy to find new and unconventional ways to finish projects (and get stalled ones across the finish line).
My tip? Block time out to wrap up any projects that have been lagging. Breathe some new life into them with this aspect!
To add to the mix, Venus moves into ambitious, earthy Capricorn today, giving your work and your interactions a more pragmatic outlook. We are drawn to those who exude power and seek out relationships that may elevate our status. There is no shame in the hustle! (Especially in a world dominated by capitalism, #amirite?).
Coming Your Way: We enter Mercury Retrograde’s shadow period on January 15th, so wrap up any major projects or contracts. Save yourself the headache and plan ahead!
